How is VOC Honeycomb used?

VOC Honeycomb Catalysts are widely used in various industries, including: the petrochemical industry, for treating VOCs waste gases generated during oil and gas combustion and wastewater treatment; the printing and coating industry, for organic waste gases generated during packaging printing and enameled wire production; and the chemical manufacturing industry, for organic pollutants emitted from the synthesis of fine chemicals. In these scenarios, VOC honeycomb catalysts convert VOCs into CO₂ and H₂O through catalytic oxidation at relatively low temperatures (e.g., above 180°C), achieving a purification efficiency exceeding 98%.VOC Honeycomb Catalysts
In practical applications, the operating temperature range for the catalyst is typically 150-600°C, but the optimal operating temperature is generally 300-500°C. Temperatures below 310°C should be avoided to prevent reduced catalyst activity and byproduct clogging. Short-term exposure temperatures should not exceed 450°C, and long-term operating temperatures should be below 420°C to prevent high-temperature sintering and deactivation. Certain substances in the exhaust gas (such as metals or compounds such as phosphorus, bismuth, arsenic, zinc, mercury, and lead) can permanently poison and deactivate the catalyst. If the exhaust gas contains such substances, pretreatment is required. Before use, fresh air at 200-350°C must be passed through for half an hour for activation. When shutting down, the exhaust gas source should be cut off, fresh air should be introduced, and the catalyst chamber should continue to heat for at least half an hour before shutting down. Regular soot blowing should be performed to prevent catalyst clogging and soot accumulation.
Catalyst modules should be stored indoors, covered with moisture-proof tarpaulins on the bottom and top to prevent moisture. The storage area must be dry, moisture-proof, and waterproof. Indoor storage should not exceed six months. If outdoor storage is unavoidable, ensure the surface is flat, dry, and well protected, and the storage period should not exceed three months.
VOC honeycomb catalysts are core components for industrial VOCs control. Their high purification efficiency relies on proper use and storage. During use, strict temperature control, exhaust gas pretreatment, and standardized operation must be implemented according to the specific application scenario. Furthermore, storage conditions must be adhered to to prevent activity loss or loss of activity. Proper maintenance and use of VOC honeycomb catalysts not only ensures compliance with exhaust gas emission standards, but also reduces operating costs and contributes to environmental protection.
